Is it normal that i lift weights when angry

ive gotten into bodybuilding so much and i love it, i dont think working out is a burden anymore, i actually enjoy it its like an addiction. it feels great the blood pumping into my muscle. and its so motivating to see my strength going up. I just love the dedication and hard-gaining earned results you get if you train enough and stay positive. Whenever i feel angry about something i just love to pump iron, kinda helps me control my thoughts and get rid of them, and understand myself. Is it normal?

  • It's not just normal, it's healthy! The adrenaline from the anger gets put to a more productive use. It'll probably keep your stress and anger in check and it'll help you sleep better too. Keep it up!

  • One time a girl betrayed me, that i liked and she "liked" me, and i was so mad i was physically shaking. The only thing that helped was benching heavy weight.

  • That's awesome! I find I workout so much better when angry, lol. Some bitch really pissed me off at Subway today when she did not hold the door for me. So, to blow off steam, I went for a long fast walk. I felt sooo much better after! :)

  • good for you, its a good release of energy and its awesome you channel it to something that helps you and keeps you fit, instead of punching walls or starting fights

  • Completely normal. When something has me riled up, I run it off. Nothing to clear the mind like a nice run and a hot shower.
