Is it normal that i leave the room too quickly?

My mom is always complaining about this. She'll request me to help out with something, I'll do it, and then I leave with the intentions of doing something else. But then she bitches at me leaving too quickly. Often I'll be standing there, she won't be saying anything for about 30 seconds, I'll turn to go, and then again she'll yell at me for leaving too fast. I mean, wtf? It isn't that hard to just tell me to wait a minute instead of expecting me to wait until I'm dismissed, is it?

Is It Normal?

  • I don't think your being disrespectful at all. If your mom wants you to do something else, she should just tell you to. It doesn't sound like you're running off the second you finish. To avoid any futude conflict, though, i would ask her if there's anything else she wants you to do.

  • Maybe she's waiting for you to ask her if there is anything else she might need help with.

I would never disrespect my mother like you have; finish a task and stalk out of the room as if to evade any further work - only a petulant child acts like that. I love her and I treat her with kindness: I WANT to help her because she's my mum.

it is called the "female brain lag". females often think that their surroudings are "too fast" for them but actually they are the ones who are too slooooooowww
