yeah, Sheldon is sussposed to be a character with undiagnosed aspergers. The producers of the show have even said this. I have aspergers too and an immature robot is a pretty good description. I have a lot in common with bender from futurama. I thought it would be good for the op to meet a guy with aspergers. we don't have a very successful time finding dates and its good to know some people are attracted to social awkwardness.
What primadonna already said was the same point I was going to make. Disorders are frequently overlooked in people who are more intelligent. Many of the smartest people in the world have unusual traits.
Who said that? It's just that lack of intelligence makes them more obvious, IMO.Like, if a person has Asperger's and an average or below average IQ, they'll probably be way behind they peers and if they are genius, their problems might be overlooked because they look advanced and probably more mature in some ways.
Is it normal that I kind of have a crush on Sheldon from TBBT?

I second this. Also, I think "mixture of cartoon robot and 5 year old kid" describes the condition pretty accurately.
Source: Have Asperger's myself, have belonged to an autism forum for many years

but "His mother had him tested" as he said. If they tested him wouldn't they have classified him with asperger syndrome?

Non necessarily. Doctors frequently over look things, especially in intelligent people.

That's an interesting mix. I wouldn't say it's not a nice thing. The world needs interesting people.
