aww... maybe it's no coincidence it's in all things must pass? i was heartbroken when he died. i've recently gone through his whole work again and was happy there's enough of him to listen to. as a matter of fact i usually feel very upset when a musician i admire dies and wonder what they would have created if they had stayed with us. so again it's very normal to feel that way but i still think crying every night over it isn't...
I feel like a huge part of the music world is gone without him, or is it just me? Like you, I'm wondering what he would be up to if he was still with us. I remember me crying when Whitney Houston died, but that lasted for a day. Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion. Thank you and of course the other answerers too. :)
you're very welcome. it's not just you who feels that way and as much as i insisted on it not being normal i think it's kind of sweet you feel so strongly about it. whitney is different in my opinion as she wasted her talents while she was alive so her death didn't represent such a loss to the music world in that sense, it was already sad while she was still around... now when it was james brown's turn, although he was already kind of old enough to go, i felt the same. especially because he was such a showman (even his funeral was a goddamn show haha) so he shined even more on stage than on record. i hate that the world is now deprived of experiencing him and his exuberance. oh, there are many others like them. i'm just glad that at least we still get to listen to/see them
'Sweet?' lol Thanks! I didn't know Whitney Houston until her death. I did hear 'I Will Always Love You' a little before, but didn't pay attention. Therefore, I didn't know she kind of wasted her life (no offense). I felt, 'was that the 'I Will Always Love You' singer? If I knew her a lot better, I would probably of thought the same.
As for James Brown.. I'm sorry, but I don't know him. I looked him up now. Is it the one went in 2006?
Yeah, I listened to one of his songs and he was amazing! Yes, I have stopped crying every night, but when someone mentions him or when I look at him, I cry. :'(
Is it normal that I keep crying over this?
