See the problem with this is there are many people out in the world who are like this, like the guy who goes running on a hot day without a shirt. Obviously he is doing it to get noticed. Its probably alot more obvious to others then you think it is. Especially if you classify yourself as a "narcissist" that "craves attention".
Someone said it above you have to look within yourself to find out why you have this emptiness that needs to be filled with getting attention. It will lead you to situations you regret if you continue with it.
The worst are the people who say they dont want attention then purposely go out of their way to get it. Sports bra at the gym, speedos at the beach, etc...
