First and Foremost. Just Relax! You know the gravity of the situation .... right? You know that whatever you did was not correct and probably you are lamenting but think about the student whom you have kissed. God knows what exactly he is fantasising because of what happened with him. May be, he is in love with you . Now based on your testimonials I can make out that he liked you from the very beginning and with this incident he is on cloud 9. You have two options, First quit the school second talk to him in person for the one last time and clear it to him that you are not in love with him then avoid him as much as possible but really! I would choose the first option if I were you. being a 26 year old guy and a teacher I did quit my job because I fell in love with a 16 year old student although I had the option to have her but due to her future and ethics I chose to leave. I did inflict pain on myself by doing it but hey! I am 26 and she is only 16. So pull your socks up and behave like a 26 year old not like a nimwit of 16.
