Absolutely. What really sickens me is that religions get so much special treatment. By all means, let people have crackpot ideas, but for fuck's sake don't give them handouts and charitable status just because they claim there's a man in the sky backing them up.
If one grown man has an imaginary friend, he's insane. If a thousand have an imaginary friend, not only are they considered perfectly normalm but they don't have to pay tax to keep themselves running, they're allowed to impose their beliefs upon everyone else, entire legal systems are formed around them, and any significant action against them is a hate crime.
Sure, there are plenty of individuals who, while totally deluded, are good people. But religion as a whole sickens me.
Oh, and did I mention how christianity seems to think it's ok to kill and rape thousands of innocent people in the name of an invisible man in the sky? Or that islam says all non-muslims should be enslaved or killed?
Sorry if this is ranty, I didn't mean to go on like this, but it's pretty relevant so I'll post it anyway. Fuck religion.
(edit: also, the more recent attacks on completely natural human behaviour are pathetic and should be serious crimes. Homosexuality in particular, but a bunch of other things too.)
