I think that everyone should know and understand this period of history. I feel that we should take heed of what happened in the Roman Empire (what some have described as the greatest empire on Earth, although the Chinese might disagree). I feel that too many people in our current Civilisation have become far too complacent in believing that this will last forever. I doubt that many Roman citizens thought that their empire would ever collapse, at that time.
