It's absolutely normal! You want the best for your friends because you care for them, so you want them to have a normal lifestyle. (Not saying that being gay isn't normal, especially nowadays) But it's normal for you to want them to have a similar lifestyle to yours so that when you do have families you don't go your separate ways due to differing lifestyles.
