I do understand where you're coming from but what you're doing is kinda like waiting to board a boat at the airport, it'll never happen! This is who they are and it'll never change at least be happy they are being true to who they truly are, there are loads of closeted homosexuals who will never come out or if they do it's later on in their lives and that's pretty sad.
As for having families there are many ways to have a baby these days even heterosexual couples follow these routes to.have babies. Thank heavens for technology bringing unconventional ways of having families. As for society and how homosexual are hated on there is nothing you can do.about it, humans have a predisposition to resist change and the fact that more and more homosexuals are coming out they have a hard accepting this if they ever come to accept it. I respect your friends so much even if I don't know them, it takes an immense amount of courage to live as a homosexual in the open. You are a good friend your worries are a bit selfish this is what they are and what they'll be and I say this nicely get over it!
