Is it normal that i have to cheer up my gf 3 times a week?

Hi everyone,
Is it normal that I have to cheer up my gf 3 times a week? Always happens something to her, in her family, or in school - her marks/grades, or simply someone hurts her feelings.

We re both 19 years old, living with our families.

I just think that 3 times every week is too much.. too often.
What are the opinions, it is common this often ??!

    Maybe she is clinically depressed?

I guess it depends on how it is affecting her. If they are major upsets it's a problem and she may be a drama llama. If she just gets ticked off for a few minutes then it's not a big deal.

Only you can decide what to put up with. 19 is a tumultuous year for a lot of us. It was for me.

Not for minutes, for hours, and in that time she says really hard things to me that hurts. Because she is in bad mood for few hours (4-5)

Break up. You're too young to put up with so much emotional stress. I knew people who dated people like the girl you're describing and they went from being positive and happy with life to being pessimistic and dead inside. Some people can deal with partners like that and some can't. You seem like you can't and that's okay if you cant. Leave her before you get worn down.

Being compassionate and listening when someone's upset is important. That being said, so is encouraging positive self image and emotional resillience. If your girlfriend is having her feelings hurt three times a week, keep a log and pay attention to her reactions.

Does she blame herself? Does she take responsibility for her shortcomings and learn, or blame others and have it happen again? Don't paraphrase, take direct quotes. Unfortunately people who've suffered a lot can succumb to negative thinking. Being encouraging can help people get over this behavior, but at the same time you're not responsible for her happiness. You're only responsible for yours.

It is really difficult in our case. We are in love for 2 years now, and we had millions of problems in out relationship, we re both totally different in everything, she is not difinite, she does what her parents say. And her mother is really angry after workdays so she is shouting with my gf quite often.
I know we have to leave each other and find our ways but it’s too hard.
We love each other very much (at the other 4 days of every week), also we are classmates, we finished school this year. But we have some final exams coming 3 weeks later, and then we will go to different universities.
Not the easiest relationship.. and we will have a hard time, after break up.

To answer your question, she hates nearly everyone around her, like classmates, or friends so it is really hard for me.
She also thinks that she is ugly, everything she has done is bad.

It is really hard. But we can’t break up before theese final super important exams.

Well you should break up if she is not the one for you.

She might be depressed, she might have a mental illness.

Yes it's normal. If you don't want to console her when she needs you, you shouldn't put her through getting even more attached to you because she deserves better.

I understand what you sad but there is a little contradiction in your comment.
Being Depressed or mental illness is :
      “Yes it’s normal” ??

    iCouldReallyUseSomeAssistance,
Thanks for your answer. This was really helpful.
I agree with the fact that she can’t handle her problems emotionally.
