Is it normal that i have realizations that i'm alive?

It sounds weird but I have moments where I have a realization I'm alive. And question what life's about and a bunch of other things. I question weather were just brains and that's it. Nothing happens after death we just die. Cause were just a brain. Things affect us so easily. Like when I stayed up for 36 hrs straight I kept having a realization that I was alive and it really freaked me out. Just think about it..

    This is normal, imo. Except I'm religious so I have these random amazed realizations that God bothered to create me and I must have a purpose. 0_o

    Also, if you're questioning what life is about, might I suggest pursuing a major in philosophy if/when you attend college? You might find it quite interesting. I've taken philosophy courses and they're all about that stuff even though they know they'll never figure it out. :D
