The race is long, but in the end, it's only with yourself. Basically you have to concentrate on yourself, strengthening the self. You can see all the therapists in the world, take all the drugs in the world, but this battle is internal and must be fought from within. The drugs can make it worse and leave you with dependency or addiction. Therapists are quite often basketcases themselves. Or you may just not be able to relate to what they're saying. Only you know yourself.
Concentrate on what makes you happy, however minor or insignificant it may be. Do more of it. Improve your fitness, being fit gives you confidence and self esteem. Look on the net for natural remedies for anxiety, you will find quite a few. Eat better. Get into a better sleeping pattern. Make a list of compliments you've received, if any, and think of these with self conviction. Concentrate on all the positive points of your personality.
