  • I think it's normal, unfortunately. I think many people feel like their vote doesn't really matter, or that they can't really change politics. It's understandable, but I think people could have a bigger impact than they think, if they took an interest. Although, that seems rather optimistic coming from me, ha:P. Politics is something I've been thinking about quite a lot recently, actually. I definitely plan on voting. The Government has such a massive influence on our lives and I think it's very important for people to take an interest. But then again, I don't know much about politics, so maybe I shouldn't be yapping on so much about it:P.

Sorry, I'm getting a bit preachy, aren't I?:P Either way, I think you're normal. Although, this answer has been a complete assumption really. For all I know, you might not want to vote because you think if you do vote evil unicorns from Ireland will kill you. In which case, not so normal:P. So, I guess it depends on the reasons you're not voting. Why aren't you voting, if you don't mind me asking?:)

    • I just don't want to get involved with politics and take a side. That and I believe that one measley little vote can't change the course of who's made president or other political figure. I believe that every politican is evil and I hate them and politics. I wish we had complete individual control over our lives instead of having a large figure over our heads everyday of every year. I agree to law enforcement and punishment to those who do wrong, but not to the over-bearing extent that we currently have.

      • Aww, no evil Irish unicorns then?:( Ahh, maybe one day! I think cynicism is pretty normal (especially for me:P), but I don't really like apathy. It doesn't have to be as big scale as your country, you know, I'm sure you can have an influence on the politicsy sorts of things going on in your community, with local elections and that sort of thing, no?:)
