Is it normal that i have no friends in college?

I been at college for 2 years and I haven’t really made any friends except one who no longer goes to school. Everyone doesn’t want to talk and it isn’t just to me no one is really friendly. Almost everyone is doing running start so it’s weird to even be in college as an actual student. Everyone is either cliqued up or alone. I feel like I want to make friends but no one is friendly and I’m a very shy person but the days are getting so boring, any advice on how to make some friends? I’m really not too good at conversation but I don’t look super weird and I dress like everyone else. I’m a girl btw, I don’t go to college near my old high school so I don’t know anyone like that and I have no time for extracurriculars because I have to work for my life. Am I weird for this? Or is this something many other experience?

    By the fact that you're asking, it probably means you do want to at least have a little more contact. The best time to do that is usually at the start of a class; sit near one or a few people and talk to them, even just making comments or whatever will develop communication. Ask them about themselves, tell them about yourself, etc.

    Don't even worry about it. College is just a minor part of life anyway.

    Now on the flip side, I made 4 solid friends in college who I still talk to today.

    Maybe try to find common interests with your classmates.

    It's usually better to try and socialize at the very beginning of the semester because that's when everyone is getting to know each other. I think the best option for you is to join a club or some sort of extracirricular activity so you can connect with others.

    Also, does your college not have group projects or anything like that? Maybe with your roommates if you live with some?

    Wear low cut shirts and skimpy shorts and skirts. If it's cold wear skin tight shirts and pants.
