Is it normal that i have no empathy.
I honestly get confused about how people feel and why they feel that way. I also don't really know how to respond to situations emotionally. My friends tell me that I'm not supposed to be this emotionless.

If you saw a man who was trying to protect his young child during a civil disturbance (like the london riots), being dragged away from his child by a group of men and then kicked and punched mercilessly , and his arms were reaching out to his child, and his child was watching his father being beaten/killed, if you had no feelings of sadness, then you have no empathy, this is normal to an extent 1 in 100 children are psychopathic.
I'm kind of that way about certain things/situations. I mean, sometimes I don't get the normal kind of excitement out of a lot of things that most other people would. When someone cracks a joke, or says something that for some reason everybody in the room finds hysterical, I'd just be like; "Hah! Yeah... ". I think it actually makes me come across really stupid sometimes, but really, its not that I'm confused, or don't understand, I really just don't care. And sometimes I can't pretend that I do.
'I have no empathy for the guys I crush on and I don't know why. It's only them though, everyone else, I seem to have empathy for.'
that's not called not having any empathy.
just means you haven't found anyone yet - or you're clearly quite young and still selfish as shit.
