Is it normal that i have no craving for a cig after smoking 35 years

I have smoked for 35 years. I woke up a few days ago and simply did not want a cigarette and have not craved once since. I found it odd so I began googling about it and found 3 articles saying it's a sign of having lung cancer. I'm looking for anything saying it can just happen for no reason and it doesn't mean anything is wrong with me. I'm wondering if anyone has heard of this happening for no reason at all

No it is not normal but you are very lucky. A medical check up is probably a good idea. Set your mind at ease.

For all practical purposes I quit smoking when I was around 40 or 41. I honestly can't remember exactly when, because I just decided it was a waste of money that I couldn't afford to spend. I might smoke the odd one or two fags on rare ocassion about once or twice a year. Meh. It wasn't a big deal for me, I guess I'm lucky.

You may have already read this article, but I recommend you read it: http://metro.co.uk/2011/03/02/smokers-with-sudden-urge-to-quit-may-have-cancer-643339/ .

See a health professional asap, especially since you have been a long-term smoker anyway.
If you do have lung cancer, you might be able to catch it in the early stages.

I hope things turn out okay :)
