Being nice isn't the ultimate ideal in life. If I were you, I'd get some self-respect, get some goals in life, and friends should follow.
If you respect yourself, others will too and they'll like you then. But that's the key: to have others love you, you first must love yourself.
It sounds corny and pretentious but it works.
