  • No it's not normal. You never said how old you are or if you're overweight, but when I was a kid my grandmother was in her 50s and she had the beginning of congestive heart failure and angina which is a stabbing chest pain...Google (angina and congestive heart failure) to get more detailed information. She had to take nitro pills under her tongue to get rid of her stabbing pain in her chest. are you on any high blood pressure medication? Or do you have any edema swelling of your legs or ankles? It sounds to me like you might have some minor heart problems and it might be a good idea to go to your doctor and get a EKG of your heart good luck.

PS heres something from the web:

Angina, also known as angina pectoris, is the sensation of chest pain, pressure, or squeezing, often due to not enough blood flow to the heart muscle as a result of obstruction or spasm of the coronary arteries.

    • My apologies, I'm new to this site.

I am 19 years of age and I'm below average for weight also I am not taking any medications/have any swelling.

Thank you for the advice, I'll consider the idea of going to the doctor.

      • Hey, don't just "consider it" - do it and ASAP. It's not normal to have chest pain for that long and you shouldn't be delaying seeing a doctor.

      • Hey no apologies necessary I was just wondering what your age is because different age groups are affected by different problems.

Considering that you're only 19 it's still possible that you have angina or heart problems but I would doubt it.

You said that you're below average in weight so this might be an nutritional based problem. Lots of people have different problems because of llack of nutrition.

I used to have problems with getting proper nutrition. The best thing I can tell you to do is eat three square meals a day of natural foods and stay away from junk foods. eat things like potatoes vegetables lean meats fruits, fish. It could be malnutrition or angina, but do go to the doctor and talk to him. You need to be diagnosed as chest pain for months is abnormal
