No, What I did not explain is that when these "night terrors" occur it has mostly been as though I am awake and paralyzed in my bed, and that is when I begin to see things.
Once I was lying there and i suddenly felt very scared, and i had been listening to music when i went to bed and that music was playing as i was having this "night terror"
so when I had finally snapped out of it the music i was hearing continued.
I think I know what you are speaking of. I can't remember the actual name of it, however it has something to do with the chemicals in your brain and your body muscles, where your body shuts down like you were asleep, without you actually falling asleep.
I used to have that a lot last year. From what I have heard, it's nothing to worry about, even if it hurts incredibly.
I get this a lot when I take a nap on the couch, something with sleeping on my back causes it. It's called sleep paralysis. You feel as though you're trapped, like your mind has woken up before your body and no matter how hard you will yourself to move and snap out of it to wake up, you can't. Most often I just "see" my surroundings and "see" or "hear" people come in the room and it's very confusing as to whether it's real or not. I can imagine if you experience this while having a bad dream, it could be quite horrifying.
Is it normal That I have Intense Nightmares?
