  • I would say it's somewhat normal. I have the same thing from time to time, however the thing that always brings me terror is another "me". I have no idea if this is my subconscious somehow showing due to how conflicted mentally.
I would assume, like my own, these dreams tend to have the same person, demon, or reason for fear, correct?

This is something that really has me thinking when I go through such things. I have had dreams where I am in college, walk through a corridor, and the other me comes through the door and I am just in complete fear and on the ground, completely incapable of getting up, another where I was being mutilated by the same person, one where I was in a murder train and this person was in it, and another dream which was about that person, although in a different manner, which I have to say, although most of the dreams with him in it tend to have me feeling intense horror, my favorite dreams has got to be the one that was about him.

    • No, What I did not explain is that when these "night terrors" occur it has mostly been as though I am awake and paralyzed in my bed, and that is when I begin to see things.
Once I was lying there and i suddenly felt very scared, and i had been listening to music when i went to bed and that music was playing as i was having this "night terror"
so when I had finally snapped out of it the music i was hearing continued.

      • I think I know what you are speaking of. I can't remember the actual name of it, however it has something to do with the chemicals in your brain and your body muscles, where your body shuts down like you were asleep, without you actually falling asleep.

I used to have that a lot last year. From what I have heard, it's nothing to worry about, even if it hurts incredibly.

        • I get this a lot when I take a nap on the couch, something with sleeping on my back causes it. It's called sleep paralysis. You feel as though you're trapped, like your mind has woken up before your body and no matter how hard you will yourself to move and snap out of it to wake up, you can't. Most often I just "see" my surroundings and "see" or "hear" people come in the room and it's very confusing as to whether it's real or not. I can imagine if you experience this while having a bad dream, it could be quite horrifying.
