That is actually a good question. It is sad to know that the character can never love you back, but myself personally I've accepted that, and I haven't let that fact overrule my life. It doesn't bother me really. And to your second question; I know I've seen some people who are so attached to a character that they then become like.. supermega fans of the creator of that character, or the voice actor of that character, animator of that character, etc. At that point, it's almost like someone having a crush on a celebrity. To that person, that creator of that character becomes a celebrity in their mind.
Personally, while I do like my character's creators, voice actor, and etc. I wouldn't form a crush on these people, mainly because they're not my type, and they're probs already married. Another reason being if I did, it'd be very awkward. Like those cringe videos where a guy attends a Comic-Con Q&A with someone he likes and asks a really awkward personal question. The whole room would fill with silence. Yeaaah no. I'd rather just date someone I meet off of Tinder. Lmao.
Is it normal that I have had a crush on a video game character for years?
