Is it normal that i have become turned on to certain taboo fetishes?

I would like to first say that I suffer from depression, anxiety and isolation and have never been in a relationship (I am 18).

My loneliness has made me develop a fetish to hardcore rape porn and upon visiting sites like BestGore it has turned me on sexually especially of seeing a necrophile orientated pic.

I know I find myself very disgusting and ironically I am a pacifist who hates violence and harming others and yet my sexual fetishes get me turned on to all this taboo stuff!

At times it has felt like I have placed myself in another person's body - I mean feeling what the sadist might feel even though I personally HATE violence.

Anyway I just want to try to get rid of these taboo fetishes like necrophilliac, rape porn etc.

thanks

Are you sure loneliness is the root of this? To me personally it sounds a little like an attempt at justification (not that you need any justification for what turns you on) as opposed to a reason. The actual problem might be that you're judging yourself for something that is actually quite human (i.e. getting a thrill from a taboo).

Suffering from depression is rather likely to make you question, judge or devalue yourself. You have a fetish - that's all.

Yeah, there is absolutely nothing wrong with fantasying about anything! and I mean anything! It's what we do that shapes who we are. Sometimes we need a break from life and just want to fantasize about more extreme or taboo topics. Ironically, even the things we are against in real life can turn us on in private. Perhaps we are giving our mind a break from things we must suppress in real life.
