Is it normal that I have an urge to kill every cat I see?

My family's previous generation had a vendetta against cats. Their father would pay them a quarter to bring him a dead one. At one point, when the cats had over populated(The main reason for killing them) They went into the front yard, dug numerous holes everywhere, caught the cats one by one, and buried them, head sticking out. They then procceeded to mow the lawn, to their neighbors horror. The neighbor, ironically, ended up being my high-school teacher. Karma moves through family i suppose. :)
