Is it normal that i have always wanted to saw/snap off a birds beak?

I've never been cruel to animals and I have a pet. But I have always had this curiosity about cutting off a birds beak or snapping the beak off a bird. It's cruel I know, but Its something that I've always thought about.

Is It Normal?

  • It's part of their skull. You wouldn't be able to just snap it off, they don't work like that.

  • I don't think you should try it at all because you might want more.

  • No, I don't think it's normal. Just find a bird that is already dead if you must though. That way you can collect your "treasure" without having to harm the animal. Be careful though, many birds carry diseases.

  • O_O Sure, we all get "strange" urges and what not, but eventually it starts crossing a line... Don't ever act on this urge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • it wouldn't kill them necessarily, look up on google or something ' pictures of ducks without bills' or 'pics of birds without beaks', and see if this might change your mind.

  • A lot of people have odd desires and i guess there is nothing wrong with having the desire as long as you never do it, its part of their skull and would kill them. You sound like an animal person so im sure you never will :)

  • I once accidentally incinerated a bird with one of my Molotov cocktails. It was sad.

  • It's not normal but at the same time there's nothing wrong with it. If you want to try snapping a birds beak then go for it. I should mention that beaks don't really snap but can be crushed easily. Just grab the beak between your forefinger and thumb and squeeze. If you want to see it suffer then increase the pressure gradually until it breaks. Otherwise it's probably best to just do it quickly. Also if you do crush a live birds beak make sure to kill it quickly afterwards. No need for it to suffer more than it needs to.
