Is it normal that i have a pet ant?

hi isitnormal.com, i have a pet ant,I officially named him robbie, i have a certficate to prove it and he's my best friend. we had some rough times together, yes but mostly we get along well even though at times he bites but even then i take it as a sign of afection. anyway on every Saturday i take robbie for a walk around the block, i guide him with my hands. people look at me a lot like its not normal or soemthing but i don't get why other people can walk their dogs and pick up their poops and be seen as normal while i just walk my ant (no hassle and no trouble) which doesn't do poops and get looked at weird. so anyways is it normal to have a pet ant . also we met when i saved him when he was stuck in a rain drop on a leaf and we bonded very well since then for the most part (again sometimes he bites especially when he's in my belly button but like I said earlier ago i think its just a way of robbie showing me that he likes me
