Excuse you, it doesn't matter if they're not real. People who made them gave them soul, own thinking, personality and when they're hot I think it's very normal. When you watch a show/movie or anything like that you can just fall in love with certain character because you can relate to them or you find them interesting or whatever is the reason. And the longer you watch the show the more these characters become you "friends".

I feel like they're an imprint of a person, whether it be of the person who made them or the person/people who inspired them.
