Is it normal that i hate when people younger than me call me mija?

I don't know why but when people younger OR Maybe even just a slight bit older than me start calling me "Mija" (Meaning like, my daughter in Spanish) it gets UNDER MY SKIN!!! I mean really, come on now..I can understand if there more elderly, because I respect that but just when KIDS My age start using it all the time I'm like AHH! So is it normal?
