I was thinking very normal until I read this: "I can't even look in the mirror and sometimes I start to cry I feel so gross." That is not healthy.
Dye your hair, wear your make up, and do it with some pride. Okay, so you know that your friends are not into that sort of thing and they think it is strange that you are. So what? They might have a point or they might not. You should really only care about your own preferences regarding your own body and find it acceptable for yourself.
As a tip though, the best makeup is the makeup that is applied so well that it is virtually undetectable - it enhances beauty but keeps it looking natural. Look up books written by Kevin Aucoin or Bobby Brown for instructions on how to apply this sort of makeup. Or if you're not into books, use Youtube to look up how to videos of women who know how to get the "natural" look with make up. Or you could go to your local MAC store and have them show you how to apply your makeup so that it doesn't look like your wearing paint.
Is it normal that I hate the way I naturally look?

No, not at all. I LOVE to wear makeup myself and always have. However, I don't feel like less of a person without it.
