This is all a part of life, and growing up. I'm sorry you are not happy. Can you transfer? Having never been to the UK, I can't comment on the people. But I always assumed it was quite a diverse place.
It does sound like you are using the people as an excuse for some underlying problem. The phrase "it isn't you, it's me" didn't become a cliche for nothing.
