I am getting really depressed, i don't like the uk at all. I tried being optimistic but i can't, everything about it gets me upset. I am thinking of doing my university in america, is it normal for me to hate the uk?
Maybe a change of country will be good for you. But sometimes you don't know what you take for granted until you lose it.
I feel like everyone grows to dislike the country they were raised in to an extent (with exceptions to extremely patriotic people that wouldn't care if their country turned into a complete shithole). I'm American and I always thought it would be cooler to live in the UK.
Personally I've always admired the deep, rich U.K. history and culture.
Hating your homeland may be normal, but instead of abandoning it, see what you can do to improve it, or work within it. One of the advantages of living in a free society is being allowed to surround yourself with like-minded people and improving your own conditions.
I'd rather be in the UK than the US right now. I'm American. It sucks here, our economy blows, our unemployment rate is sky high.
Well, remember with all the things happening in American, you might not work well there either. Remember, America doesn't give free health care.
That's an overstated misconception. Medicade has been in place for a very long time. Also..the word "free" is thrown around as if flying unicorns deliver money in gumdrops to healthcare providers. It's funded by taxpayers..that's far from "free."

:) our health care is actually rather easy to get, and the health care providers are friendly and help you with all of your needs. Imo, you get a little more with our health care than the previously stated "free" health care. But that's just my opinion. If you disagree, dont come to America for health care haha
If this is because of Uni fees then that's more than understandable considering how expensive it is in the UK! But other than that I think we have it very good compared to other places. A change in country may be the solution to your problems, but what strikes me as strange is why you'd change USA:S? It seems like a lovely place, but everything about the UK I can imagine a person hating is worse in USA:/ Am I missing something?

Hey guys. I have lived and worked in the UK for about 6 years. It is the most horrible place I have ever lived in, bar none - and god knows I have traveled a lot. Over-priced, ugly and sad, dirty places, horrid rainy and cold weather, grey, hateful souls. People full of issues. Country of raging drunkards. Women drink as much as the men, you got to see them after binge drinking in the streets of their cities at night...they just puke anywhere, ending up in tears, fighting each other violently, pissing and literally defecating in the streets in public view. Vile people, sarcastic and condescending when sober. Disgusting food: fried fish and chips, or tasteless industrial meaty pies full of fat sauce. Hateful of any and every single nationality. Just tell them where you are from, and you'll find out what they hate about you and your culture. Very fake, total hypocrites when not drunk. Hate anything and anyone, including their own: they hate the Scots, the Irish, the Welsh - and every single other part of the country hates the other one! It's not surprising about Brexit. They have a deep hatred of Europe and any other country, for that matter!
I don't know why you hate the UK. We have much to offer here in the US, but we value our special relationship with the UK.
the UK seems to be going down the pan but then again so is everywhere else. I say go and experience a different country if you can. Hell - why not try more than one country!! Try and live your life as best as possible as we're a long time dead!!
I think you should consider visiting a third-world country to see how lucky you have it in the UK.

I admire the U.K i've only been there once unfortunately therefor i come release that i hate the dark days remaining after hours of raining the U.K's wether is what i don't like if thats what you mean but am sure you are just thinking about the disadvantage of the UK instead of thinking about the advantage, my advise try harder at being optimistic darling

Hating a whole country is such a stupid thing to do.
There are lots and lots of people in every country and it just impossible for you to know them all. So how can you hate what you don't even know? What upsets you about it exactly? Is it the typical english accent perhaps? The red busses and crowded supermarkets and the shitty weather? you should probably be more specific. And by the way what makes you think you'd like any other place more? it depends mostly on the people find yourself having to hang out with. You can't possibly enjoy living in a place full of ugly depressing people laying around. Did you try changing most visited places? Go somewhere where you can find some greens, sun shining, Dogs humping, to Breath some fresh air, meet new people and stuff. Maybe the trouble is not the place at all.. it's the people you automatically attract towards you, if any. I hate that, I just seem to be a fucked up people magnet.

I agree with what Dozis said too. There are many different types of people and cultures in all countries. To judge a whole country in one specific way is honestly ignorant. What are your reasons? Also, have you looked at the state of the U.S.A.'s economy lately? Here's a hint: IT'S NOT GOOD!

To be honest, I'm starting to really dislike the people in it too. America seems like a much nicer place with much nicer people in it. Although that may just be the image the media paints.
