Is it normal that i hate the sound and feel of styrofoam

Whenever I buy new things that come in a cardboard box, I actually try to delay opening it just so I wouldn't have to feel and hear the styrofoam brush against the cardboard. For me it sounds like nails on the chalkboard.

Well, the hate of sound could be associated to Misophonia (literally hatred of sound), as for styrofoam that could be you are a highly sensitive person? They have problems with sounds and the way things feel.

For instance: I don't like loud noises and hate the feels of certain textures.

You sound like my brother. I think just about everyone has a sound they can't stand.

I hate it as well. You may have sensory problems. If this happens with other things as well, I would recommended mentioning it to your doctor.

Sounds like you had a bad experience with Styrofoam. I've got nothing against the stuff and personally think it's cool, but if you hate it then you hate it. We recently bought a new Acer laptop and I was kind of disappointed that there was no Styrofoam in it just cardboard packaging.
