I think the problem with most relationships is that a lot of people have a gf/bf because they're afraid of being alone. either that, or they want to fit in with their friends. Nowadays people suspect you to find the love of your life before you're even 20.
See the thing with love is, that it's a lot like the flu. When someone gets ill for the first time, he immediately thinks he's got the flu, even though it's just a cold. the problem is they only realize this once they actually get the flu, but by that time they're already married to some doofus.
I'm glad you're critical about the subject, but don't get too pessimistic. If you ever meet someone you like, you'll think differently about it. But for now, try to find out what you want.
