Is it normal that I hate religion and want to destroy it

  • Religion is a tool to give people hope. I believe it's for those who need someone when they feel all alone. It's normal to feel that way but honestly, we need religion when all else is lost, we need an alternative to turn to when we find no other.

    • I'm so sorry you feel that way. It is not a "tool" it is a crutch for the weak and spineless.
Most religious people are the most extreme hypocrites; doing one thing while preaching another.
Look at all the priests who molest children while the whole church tries to sweep it under the rug. Look at all the Muslims, killing one another because they choose to worship Allah, each in their own way, even though they are forbidden from killing other Muslims. Even the Buddhists are killing Muslims and that religion forbids killing even an ant.
It's all crap, developed by man to facilitate their excesses without conscience.

      • Maybe, In my opinion it is. It could be used for good or evil. I've seen how much it has helped others. Everyone has to believe in something and most turn to religion. I'm just glad they have something to turn to.

There was someone I met a few years ago, he wanted to take his life away because he felt there was nothing else he could do. He felt so helpless that he didn't know who to turn to. That's when he told me he found hope in God. He was able to become stronger because of it. I don't think that was weak and spineless. Like education is a tool for your future, religion is a tool for hope when all else feels lost. This is my opinion and no matter how much you don't agree with it, it won't change.
