it's weird, see, i search "friend get's piercing and i hate piercings, do i complement" and guess what google gives me? ten pages of basically the same thing: "why do adults hate piercings?", "where to get piercings", "what if your bf/gf doesn't like you'r piercing." etc, etc. so few few people don't like piercings compared to those who do. also, the few that DON'T have mostly different reasons, mine is quite simple, and might i just add that the arguments on behalf of piercings make it way harder to tolerate. either way here is why:
the physical appearance is in multiple ways disturbing. and i use the word disturbing to describe how i feel looking at them, very uncomfortable. why? because they of all accessories are pretty impossible to ignore. take a beautiful face, add a piercing, that face is now totally compromised because no matter how hard i try, i can't ignore the thing in the skin. and i think they take away from the natural (or i guess how it looks untouched) beauty. i guess the real deal here is that i'm drawn to aesthetically pleasing appearances.
