It can often be difficult to tell here. I know I've made the odd mistake and I always apologise because I'm really not here to offend people.
At the same time, the verbal cues I look for amongst liars can occasionally be off. Too much completely irrelevant information is one pointer, as is a creeping satisfaction in telling the story and a need to gratuitously flesh out detail, as if describing a fantasy.
If I've mistakenly accused you of lying, remind me of your post and I'll tell what made me think it wasn't true. I'll also apologise.
Ignore the doubters. Often people cry troll because they're too scared to give the question proper consideration.
I hate that too. I hate when people say that on other people's stories too. I don't understand, if they think you're a troll, why can't they just save their time and leave your story? If they think it's fake then they are really just wasting their own time by writing something stupid saying you're lying. If someone is going to comment, they should at least make it something that will help. "Fake and gay" isn't going to help anyone. People need to stop writing that.
i am curious about the story... post the story on here and we will give you an honest and proper answer.
I posted a story about my foster parents not feeding me or letting me outside, which wouldn't be too bad if I wasn't four months pregnant. People were calling me a troll, I don't even know what that is!?
Well a "troll" is someone who posts a story or comment that is intended to get a rise out of people. If your having problems with people taking your story lightly, you should consider wording them differently,
Oh and my comment was to the OP. I did not want anyone to think I was saying I was the OP.
My girlfriend posted a story. For the most part people were supportive or offered good advice. One person said something about it being fake. She was confused as to why someone would think her asking advice was fake. I read her a couple of other ones and comments and it seems a lot of people assume many stories are fake. I guess a few ruin it for everyone who has legit questions.
