Sure it is. As normal as I am for not trusting people who base their trust on them not liking one particular species... Do you hate all people who hate spiders too? Some spiders are peoples best friends and companions, as well as many other odd animals out there. But there still exist people in the world who hate that species. So, if you're going to not trust people who don't like dogs, be consistent in not trusting anyone who doesn't like any animal, at least.
