I call bullshit. I happen to be lucky enough to get along famously with my boyfriend's family, but I don't believe you marry one's family when you marry them. You don't support your spouse's family, you don't take their feelings into regard every single time you make a big descision and you sure as shit don't need to put up with them if they happen to be assholes, like the OP's sister in law. He doesn't have to like her or get along with her, because she's not the one he's sharing his bed with.
