Is it normal that i hate my self?

I hate my self , i dont like how my body looks , and i even the way i am.....

Well sometimes I like the looks of my body but when I look in the mirror, I do not like it so much ....
And talking about the way i am .. Well sometimes acted like a rude person, but the true is that I'm really shy

i go to the gym everyday but now is turning like an obsession

    I don't think you're in need of psych help. I think psych is a joke and too directly related to the drug companies. Can you say profit from "mental illness"? Of course its normal to hate yourself. Society has unrealistic standards and even your own friends will stab you in the back.

    work out in front of a mirror and scream at yourself, "i hate you, i hate you!"

    Eventually you will grab the attention of some PYT with a spandex outfit on seemingly concerned for you and touching your bicep.

    Call me if you can't take it from there or just give her my number.

    You should be grateful the way you are. if you aren't satisfied with your appearance, you should be determined to change yourself to better. Good luck anyway =)

    please either talk to a good friend or a counselor about this.i'm surprised to see so many people,especially school age people in this forum that need clinical help.some questions are relatively normal and some a bit not.but the majority of what i read here are from people who should be getting some kind of clinical counseling of some kind..i'm shocked that there are so many people that are so in need of psychiatric help.yahoo answers is another such forum wherein i see the same thing all the time

    I am the same way! I am obsessed with working out and trying to look better. If I don't workout, I get REALLY upset and pretty much beat myself up.

    ya i have a very low self esteem and i get wat ur trying to say...its not bad to excersize just dont over do it...make sure ur body rest at least once a week

    First, I think you should ask yourself WHY you hate who you are. Do you get mad at yourself for being rude to people, or because you're shy, or because you don't like the way you look?

    Going to the gym isn't going to change your personality, and getting buff won't make you like yourself any better.

    You need to learn to love yourself for who you really are... and that might mean taking the steps to become a "you" that you really like! :) Good luck!
