I hate my period and was so upset when I got my first period. It was the summer before my twelfth birthday and it lasted like 9 or 11 days! I was horrified and disgusted with my whole reproductive system and really upset with the very idea that I could get pregnant. I actually wanted to get spayed like my dog. I felt I was too young to have a period and wanted to stay a kid. I was fine with becoming an adult in regards to my brain and intelligence but hated the whole puberty thing. The worst part about puberty was that I was tall for my age and and when I started getting curves adult men would look and me and construction workers and landscapers would whistle and do cat calls. Disgusting! When I was married the only good thing about getting a period was not being pregnant.
