Honestly I'm not sure if they were or weren't. Not all yes fans are stoners. I am quite content just listening to the music without other substances getting in the way.
Although I was disappointed that Jon wasn't part of the tour. They hired a tribute-band singer Benoît David to fill in for Jon for an album and some tours. He's good, sounds a lot like Jon, but ... not the same.
(besides I was looking forward to Jon's flaky stories! =) )
Is it normal that I hate live recorded music?

Because they're high.
It's hard to be noisy and exciteable while high.
