Asian languages arent very "dense" when it comes to meaning. Meaning per syllable they convey less information than English though english isnt even the most efficent language but rather one of the easier languages to learn* English also doesnt suffer that much in regard to accents where as mandarin their words are often so close together even a slight deviation can create dialects that may as well be a different language.
* easy as in theres not a lot of rule bending vs other languages theres still a lot but it's still less than standard.
