Is it normal that i hate hospitals?

I'm only 18 years old, but in the past four months, my two best friends have both died in the Duke hospital in Durham, both at 17 years old. I feel lonely and nostalgic all the time, and I really don't know what to do. I hate hospitals now, and can't go too close or I get flooded with bad thoughts of more people dying or just memories of seeing my friends' parents learn the news for the first time... I just hate everything about it and don't think I'll be able to willingly go for a long time.

It is completely normal. If you were unfazed by such events, that would be more concerning than being afraid of hospitals. I would recommend going to a psychologists, not because you have mental illness, but to help you with your fear and other negative emotions. It's kind of like going to the doctor for a check up. There is nothing wrong, but it helps prevent things from going wrong. Also don't let this fear keep you from getting medical help. I did and while I luckily didn't have a fatal problem, not going to the doctor once has given me extreme pain and endless doctor visits.
