I wasn't even born in a religious household, but for some reason that I can't justify I am extremely homophobic. I have a serious problem with "bisexual" girls as well, and when my ex came out as "bisexual" I dumped her on the spot and said some really nasty things I won't say here. I have a real problem with girls liking other girls.
Are you looking for trouble? Because your post makes me very sad. You deprive yourself from knowing someone because of their sexual orientation? How would you feel if you were shunned for being straight? They are human, stop being a dick.
I don't see a reason for this at all, apart from maybe what dappled said. Hating somebody because they like something different than you seems kind of stupid when you think about it!
Just generalizing, I love gay guys, they are way more accepting, way less judgmental, and most of the time they are massively funny. (although there are exceptions to every rule)
And as far as lesbians, what possible reason could you have to hate a girl for liking another girl? She is essentially agreeing with you on your choice of sexuality?
Work on removing all the hate from your heart, hate will never lead to anything good.
Do you think it's because of the insecurity that a girl may leave you for a girl (something you can't offer)?

I openly accept gays, all sexualities rather, but I've always been skeptic of a guy leaving a girl or viseversa because of a sexuality change.
And it seems kind of generalized when people say, "Oh all gay guys are super nice!", because I happen to know a small amount of "rude" gay guys.
But yes, I have a feeling homosexuals tend to be more accepting because there's a high chance that most of them have had to deal with issues about who they are, so they know what it's like :)
One more thing - I prefer sexuality to stay in the bedroom, I believe it shouldn't define a person ;)

even though im lesbian, i dont think youre trying to be a dick. you are just saying how you feel and asking if it's normal. i think you should sit down and think about all the possible random reasons you could feel this way. think about when you started to feel this way (if you can remember) and see if it has any correlation to things in your life. this might be a long shot, and you should not be offended by this, but is there any possibility that you're gay? homophobia can easily develop because of one's fear of their own repressed homosexuality. either way, no matter what the reason, just remember that hate weighs you down. you will be a much happier person if you lose hate for anyone or anything that you might have. good luck!
I don't hate gays or bisexuals but sometimes I feel I do. Only because my ex boyfriend is bisexual and he was having sex with loads of different men while we were in a relationship. He also said he was in a relationship with one of the blokes while he was with me. It messed me up hugely and I can't help that I occasionally feel angry and disgusted towards him. I've even explained to him that I'm not judgemental of anybody else, just him because I really loved him and he broke my heart. I didn't even know he was bisexual and had cheated on me until four months after the relationship.. we'd remained friends and I still loved him when he admitted it all. I couldn't even look at him. I felt so betrayed. I don't feel the same way about him anymore but it still affects me now because a part of me still loves him and cares about him. Which is stupid because he doesn't deserve it.
