Is it normal that i hate clothes touching my armpits?

I can't STAND ANYTHING touching my armpits. I refuse to buy shirts or bras that even come close to being near my pits. I'll cut my tanks to make the holes bigger.

I think it's because my shirts always smell weird when the pits are moist (like vinegar). I've tried everything to get the smell out of my shirts, I guess it's just body chemistry.

I wonder if sensitivity to the way clothes feel, smell, or fit might possibly involve sensory processing disorder. I've heard of people with SPD having problems with perceiving their clothing as too loose, too tight, too rough, wrong fabric, wrong type, wrong odor, not fitting just right, etc.

    • I don't know, but the feeling of things touching my pits is like torture. I'd rather be punched in the face.
