Also, it sounds like you are intelligent enough to know when you're wrong and continue seeking the right answers. So don't feel that you have to dumb yourself down or stop answering questions in class. Even when you make a mistake, that can be a learning experience. Don't let your peers take that away from you. They are probably insecure themselves, and they express that insecurity by pointing out someone else's flaws.
