Is it normal that i hate being scolded by others?

Well, I'm just a normal person yet a bit emo. I really hate being scolded especially when I have accidentally did the things wrong. I really hate it when someone put a jokes on me without humor mostly my stupid classmates, idiot teachers, scolding me in front of many people.. I imagine myself to squeeze their intestines and kick their butt so hard at the same time.

Is It Normal?

  • It's normal to be scolded, but to be teased or called out like that in public is not normal and it is not very mature of anyone to do to you.

But people don't like having their mistakes pointed out. That part is normal.

  • If you are being humiliated in front of others stand up for yourself. Take them aside and just tell them that you don't appreciate it and want it to stop. With the teacher's ridicule - you could talk to him/her or just lay a complaint or both. It is unprofessional.

Being ridiculed and ganged up on is bullying. Most schools this day and age have strong policies on anti-bullying. That your teacher is witnessing it w/o doing anything, much less participating, is completely unacceptable. If you feel you need support, go to student services.

  • That doesn't sound like "scolding", it sounds like they're teasing you instead. It's not normal and it's quite immature.

  • People making fun of you is a little different than being scolded. Being scolded is being chastised for something you did wrong, which is deserved most of the time. Are you sure you are being scolded?

      • Well it's normal to not like having your mistakes pointed out, it's a blow to the old ego, even if you deserved it.
