Is it normal that i hate being lazy?

I hate being lazy. I always feel so guilty about it. I worry about my health a lot and I just feel like if I keep it up I'm going to become less healthier and just, you know. Not be healthy. I've talked to my parents numerous times about it (preferably my mom) and she just says that it's OK to have your lazy days. I agree with her, but I hate it anyway.

Sometimes I am very lazy and I hate it too. It's kind of a love hate thing - it feels really good to just lay around and do nothing but I feel guilty about it so I can't even completely enjoy it.

I feel the same way, and Im 40!
I feel guilty about being lazy, having not done half the tasks I was supposed to do, slacking off, wasting time on the internet, sleeping till midday on weekends, but I might as well sleep till midday on weekdays, it has the same effect on my duties!
I hate it, but I can't help it, no matter how much I wow to change.
It seems to me that every year I do less than the year before.
It's normal I think, but definitely not healthy!! Arghhh!

  • I understand you, I feel so useless if I don't do anything the whole day.

when i am feeling lazy or "down in the dumps" i do things around the house and i feel better afterwards. maybe give that a go. put some music on and clean and dust your room or help your parents with the dishes or vacuuming. maybe suggest to your mum to give you some pocket money to help around the house, that should help motivate you too.
