I don't think you need mind altering drugs...
If it is not affecting your life then there may be no reason to tell anyone...however, brain lesions can cause hallucinations...so if the hallutionations become worse or other strange symptoms appear then I would seek help....and it may be more helpful to see a neurologist rather than a therapist or psychiatrist.
