Yeah, it's normal to be unaware of what a word means. And nowadays, a hipster would never call themselves a hipster, because as it stands, the word "hipster" is too mainstream for a hipster to use. Catching my drift? So, technically, calling yourself a hipster totally deflates your hipster status. As of now, you are no longer a hipster.
